Cremilda Medina que no passado mês de Abril mereceu uma distinção internacional nos IPMA International Portuguese Music Awards nos Estados Unidos da América onde conquistou o prémio “Best World Music” com a música “Divôrce Um’ Ca Ta Sená”, de Manuel d'Novas, vê agora o seu álbum “Folclore” merecer duas distinções nacionais nos CVMA Cabo Verde Music Awards.
Cremilda que estava nomeada em cinco categorias, acaba por levar para casa dois prémios, Melhor Morna e o pelo segundo ano consecutivo o prémio SAPO Award.
No ano em que o governo de Cabo Verde entregou na UNESCO o dossier de candidatura da Morna a Património Imaterial da Humanidade, Cremilda venceu a categoria Melhor Morna nos CVMA com a música “Sonho dum Criola” composição que Morgadinho fez especialmente para Cremilda.
"A morna, para mim, é a categoria mais bonita que existe na música", afirmou Cremilda ao receber o prémio das mãos do Ministro da Cultura e Industrias Criativas de Cabo Verde Abraão Vicente
Visivelmente emocionado, Cremilda Medina pediu "maior valorização da morna" pedindo também para que as pessoas não esperassem para que algo obtenha "um certo patamar para começar a valorizar", realçando que a Morna merece toda a atenção, pois foi também através dela que o nome de Cabo Verde é ouvido hoje em todo mundo.
Pelo segundo consecutivo levou também para casa o premio SAPO Award, prémio que distingue o artista mais votado da Internet.

Cremilda, qui a été nommée dans cinq catégories, remporte deux prix, Best Morna et la deuxième année du SAPO Award.
Dans l'année que le gouvernement du Cap-Vert prononcé à l'UNESCO dans le dossier de demande de Morna du patrimoine immatériel de l'humanité, Cremilda a remporté la catégorie Meilleur Morna dans le CVMA avec la chanson “Sonho dum Criola” composition Morgadinho faite spécialement pour Cremilda.
"La morna, pour moi, est la plus belle catégorie qui existe dans la musique", a déclaré Cremilda lors de la réception du prix de la ministre de la Culture et des industries créatives du Cap-Vert Abraão Vicente
Emu, Cremilda Medina a appelé à “une plus grande appréciation de la chaleur” demande aussi que les gens ne pas attendre quelque chose pour obtenir “un certain niveau pour commencer à la valeur”, soulignant que la Morna mérite une attention parce qu'il était aussi par elle que la Le nom du Cap-Vert est entendu aujourd'hui dans le monde entier.
Pour la deuxième année consécutive, il a également remporté le SAPO Award, un prix qui distingue l'artiste le plus voté d'Internet.
